WHAT IS METABOLOGY?

METABOLOGY™ is a subscription-based healthy meal plan service for your convenience. The meals are prepared fresh, twice a week, meaning they are fresh and never frozen.

WHAT IS A MEAL PLAN?

We deliver , 5 days, 6 days, or 7 days of food to you.

 

You receive either 10, 12, or 14 meals plus free snacks (2 fruit & 1 trail mix daily).

If you add breakfast to your plan, you receive 10, 12, or 14 meals with 5, 6, or 7 breakfasts. That is a total of 15, 18, or 21 meals!

If you choose a bulk plan, you receive a whopping 15, 18, or 21 meals, or when adding breakfast, 20, 24, or 28 meals!

Yup, that’s just for one week!

WHAT ABOUT FOOD ALLERGENS?

The Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA), which took effect January 1, 2006, mandates that the labels of foods containing major food allergens (milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat/wheat-flour, and soy).

METABOLOGY™ meals are prepared in a shared facility where some of the following food allergens are used:

  • Cereals Containing Gluten
  • Crustaceans, For Example Prawns, Crabs, Lobster, and Crayfish
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Peanuts
  • Soybeans
  • Milk
  • Nuts, Such As Almonds, Hazelnuts, Walnuts, Pecan Nuts, Brazil Nuts, Pistachio, Cashew And Macadamia (Queensland) Nuts, And Coconuts
  • Celery (And Celeriac)
  • Mustard
  • Sesame
  • Sulphur Dioxide, Which Is A Preservative Found In Some Dried Fruit
  • Lupin (legume belonging to the same plant family as peanuts).
  • Mollusks, For Example Clams, Mussels, Whelks, Oysters, Snails, and Squid

 

METABOLOGY™ meals may contain one or some of the aforementioned food allergens, as well as herbs and spices that you may be mildly to severely allergic to.

Please be extremely aware of what you are allergic to BEFORE attempting to order from METABOLOGY™. If you are allergic to one or more of the mentioned food allergens, we are not able to recommend ordering from METABOLOGY™ at this time.

ARE THERE VEGETARIAN/VEGAN OPTIONS?

We presently do not offer vegetarian or vegan options.

ARE THE INGREDIENTS FOR THE MEALS GMO FREE AND ORGANIC?

We try to ensure the highest quality with our ingredients and try to buy organic where possible as well as products free of GMOs.

HOW LONG IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE MEALS?

The shelf life of the meals are usually 4 – 6 days, but the best before date is printed on each meal. We deliver the meals in insulated cooling bags with gel ice packs. The integrity of the meals is guaranteed until 7am. Please place your meals into a refrigerator after that time.

IS NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION/MACROS PROVIDE ON EACH MEAL?

Every meal has a label on the top, listing all the nutritional information you need.

HOW ARE THE MEALS HEATED?

The instructions for heating the meals are on the container, where you will also find the nutritional information.

CAN THE MEALS BE FROZEN?

Our food containers are of high quality, but to ensure the quality and great taste of the food, we suggest to not freeze the meals. That is why we deliver twice a week. We want you to receive the excellent quality you deserve.

HOW MUCH DOES A MEAL PLAN COST?

How much you pay for your plan is very much dependent on the type of plan you choose,  and whether you choose a Venus or Mars plan. These also come in different sizes, which influences price. You can review the prices for each plan on the website, before choosing your plan.

HOW MANY MEALS DO I NEED TO ORDER?

Our services begin with one week’s plan (single week) and you can order on a weekly basis. We offer weeks of 5 days, 6 days, and 7 days to provide you with more flexibility in how you choose to eat.

When you now choose to order from one of our VENUS or MARS subscription meal plans,  you choose whether you would like to be on a 5 day, a 6 day, or a 7 day meal plan. You have the possibility of pausing your plan at any time, or cancelling at any time. There are no fines or cancellation fees.

For your convenience, your billing is recurring,. You enter your credit card information once, and we book off weekly unless you cancel.

This is to your benefit and for your convenience only.

WHAT IF THERE ARE CERTAIN ITEMS I CANNOT OR DO NOT LIKE TO EAT? CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO THE MENU?

Of course we will accommodate certain items on the menu that may cause allergies or you just do not wish to eat. We substitute the meal with another meal from the plan. To make changes, you must notify us by the cut-off dates, and times.

WHAT IS THE CUTOFF TIME FOR ORDERING MEALS?

A delivery cycle begins on Monday through Sunday. The cut-off time for ordering meal plans is Thursdays before 11:59 pm, and we collect our customer lists on Thursday nights. To minimize potential food waste due to overstocking, we resource our fresh produce and ingredients Friday morning. That is why any order that arrives after the cut-off time will not be delivered until the next delivery cycle.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

We offer a 10% discount to our Military, LEO, and First Responders. This is not a one-time, but a continuous discount as a way to say “Thank You” to those who serve us and our country.

WHAT ARE THE MEALS DELIVERED IN?

We use PET recyclable food grade containers that can be microwaved. We do not take the containers back, but you can reuse them for other things, such as storage and crafts, or you just recycle them.

HOW AND WHEN ARE THE MEALS DELIVERED?

Your meals are delivered twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday by 7am, or if you live in St. Pete, on Tuesday and Friday by 7am in insulated cooler bags filled with ice packs. You will receive your first delivery in your cooler bag and we will replace your cooler bag and ice packs with the next delivery. Just remember to leave the wiped out (dry) and zipped closed empty cooler bag/bags and ice packs in front of your door on delivery day, otherwise we will have to charge you a fee of $15 per bag.

We deliver to the Greater Tampa Bay area, and now also to St. Petersburg however, some restrictions apply.

WHAT IF I LIVE IN A GATED COMMUNITY OR APARTMENT HOUSE?

As great as we are (and yes, we are really great), we need to be able to have access to your premises, otherwise we can’t deliver your food to you! If you live in a gated community, we need to be able to access the community, so please provide the access code in the comments section of the ordering form on our website.

DO YOU CHARGE A DELIVERY FEE?

You sign up once and can cancel at any time! You can choose between weeks of 5, 6, or 7 days.

  • No sign-up fee!
  • No delivery fees!
  • No fines, no commitment, no hassle. It’s just that simple.

Billing is recurring (you provide your credit card info once) and you can cancel at any time.

IS THERE A SIGN-UP FEE?

There is no sign-up fee.

Upon your first meal delivery, we will leave a cooling bag with ice packs with you, and you place the empty bag outside of your door for pick-up/exchange upon delivery day.

If you fail to leave your bag out, for your second delivery (the second part of the week), nothing happens except that we will send you a short reminder. If you forget to leave your bag and ice packs out at the beginning of the new week, we will have to charge you  a security deposit of $15 for your new bag.

The security deposit is returned to you if you decide to cancel your services with us and you have returned your bag and ice packs.

HOW DO I ORDER?

Just click on the link on or website (shopping cart) and choose your meal plan. You then need to enter your credit card information on our secure server and add any additional information regarding your residency in the comments section. Your credit card will be immediately charged once you place the order.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We take all major credit and debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

DOES SOMEONE NEED TO BE HOME TO RECEIVE THE MEALS?

Not at all! As long as we can deliver to your front door, we will do just that on Monday and Thursday, by 7am. If you live in St. Pete, we will deliver on Tuesday and Friday by 7am.

Once again, if you live in an apartment house, we must have access to the building, so please let the doorman know that we are delivering your meals.

We are located in the heart of Tampa (near USF) but cook out of a certified professional kitchen to ensure you the highest food quality.
